HORIZONS
The paintings in the Horizons series explore the possibilities of light-colour, texture and matter, and delve more deeply into ideas related to space, time, the infinite and the sublime. They reflect a human vision of vast, fathomless spaces, a pictorial experience that attempts to trascend its own organic materiality in order to cross that possible threshold of the absolute. Some titles refer to stars (Deneb, Mirfak, Scheat and Diphda) or ancient deities (Rafha, Selene, Freya and Maeve) underscoring the canvases’ symbolic intent.
